Configure kiosk content and layout
Once your kiosk is set up and activated, you can fill it with useful content -- clocks, announcements, transport information, visitor check-in, and more. Changes you make are pushed to the device within seconds, so you never need to visit the screen in person.
Before you start
- Your kiosk must already be created. See Set up a kiosk if you have not done this yet.
Add and arrange widgets
- Open the Kiosks page from the Site Configuration sidebar menu under Digital Signage, and click Edit on the kiosk you want to configure.
- Review the visual grid editor that opens. It shows a layout matching your kiosk's aspect ratio and orientation.
- Add a widget by choosing from the available widget types. Built-in options include Clock, Announcements, Transport, Weather, Visitor Check-In, Contacts, Space Availability, Image, Navigation Hint, Local Amenities, Custom HTML, and Iframe.
- Position the widget on the grid by dragging it to the desired location. Widgets snap to the 12-column grid and respect minimum and maximum sizes.
- Resize the widget by dragging its edges. Each widget type has size constraints to make sure content stays readable.
- Configure the widget's specific settings by selecting it. Depending on the type, you can choose which rail stations or bus stops to display, which direction a wayfinding arrow points, which contacts to show, and so on.
- Repeat steps 3 to 6 to add more widgets until your layout is complete.
Set a background
- Choose a background image for the kiosk and adjust the dimming slider so your widgets remain easy to read against the background.
Save and preview
- Click Save Changes. The device picks up your new layout within seconds -- no need to restart or visit the screen.
Update content remotely
To make changes later, edit the kiosk, rearrange or reconfigure widgets, and save. The device updates automatically. You can also click Refresh in the kiosk list to force the device to reload immediately.
