Visitor self-check-in at a kiosk
Visitor self-check-in at a kiosk
Some buildings have a self-service kiosk or QR code in the lobby so visitors can check in without needing to speak to a receptionist. This is useful for buildings without a staffed front desk, or during busy periods.
Check in with a code (pre-registered visitors)
If you were invited ahead of time and have your check-in code from SmartPass:
- Find the kiosk screen or QR code in the building lobby.
- Scan the QR code with your phone, or use the kiosk touchscreen directly.
- Enter your check-in code (the short code from your SmartPass email).
- Confirm your details and you are checked in. The person you are visiting is notified that you have arrived.
Tip: You can find your check-in code in the SmartPass email you received when you were invited. Open it on your phone before you arrive so it is ready.
Walk-in check-in (no prior invitation)
If you arrive at a building without an invitation, you can register yourself at the kiosk:
- Scan the QR code in the lobby with your phone.
- Enter your name and email address on the form that opens.
- Select which organisation you are visiting.
- Optionally, search for the person you are visiting by name. If you are unsure, you can skip this step.
- Submit the form. You are checked in immediately and will receive a SmartPass email with your visit details.
The person you are visiting (if identified) is notified that you have arrived.
