Visitor self-check-in at a kiosk

Visitor self-check-in at a kiosk

Some buildings have a self-service kiosk or QR code in the lobby so visitors can check in without needing to speak to a receptionist. This is useful for buildings without a staffed front desk, or during busy periods.

Check in with a code (pre-registered visitors)

If you were invited ahead of time and have your check-in code from SmartPass:

  1. Find the kiosk screen or QR code in the building lobby.

  1. Scan the QR code with your phone, or use the kiosk touchscreen directly.

  1. Enter your check-in code (the short code from your SmartPass email).

  1. Confirm your details and you are checked in. The person you are visiting is notified that you have arrived.

Tip: You can find your check-in code in the SmartPass email you received when you were invited. Open it on your phone before you arrive so it is ready.

Walk-in check-in (no prior invitation)

If you arrive at a building without an invitation, you can register yourself at the kiosk:

  1. Scan the QR code in the lobby with your phone.

  1. Enter your name and email address on the form that opens.

  1. Select which organisation you are visiting.

  1. Optionally, search for the person you are visiting by name. If you are unsure, you can skip this step.

  1. Submit the form. You are checked in immediately and will receive a SmartPass email with your visit details.

The person you are visiting (if identified) is notified that you have arrived.
