No-shows and automatic release

If your site requires check-in for bookings, there is a window of time after your booking starts during which you need to confirm you have arrived. If you do not check in within that window, the system treats it as a no-show and releases the space so someone else can use it.

How it works

  1. Your booking time begins and the check-in window opens.
  2. If you do not tap Check In within the allowed time (set by your site administrator), the booking is automatically cancelled.
  3. You receive a notification letting you know your booking was released because you did not check in.
  4. The desk, room, or parking space becomes available for others to book immediately.

Tip: If you know you will not make it, cancel your booking ahead of time. This frees up the space sooner and helps your colleagues find what they need. See Cancel or modify a booking.

How long do I have to check in?

The check-in window is set by your site administrator. It is typically between 15 and 30 minutes, but this can vary by site and by the type of space. You can see the check-in deadline on your booking detail.

Can I get the space back after a no-show?

Once a booking is released, it cannot be reinstated. You will need to make a new booking. If the space is still available, you can rebook it straight away -- see Make a walk-up booking.
